Shubb L4 Lite Capo for Electric Guitars, 7.25" Radius Fretboards, Silver
Less than half the weight of other Shubb capos, the Lite Capo is crafted from aluminum and weighs less than an ounce.
The Shubb L4 Lite capo is made to fit a fretboard radius of approximately 7.25 inches, as opposed to the standard steel string models, which can accommodate a radius ranging from 9 to 16 inches. The L4 was designed specifically for certain vintage models of the Fender Telecaster and Stratocaster, and copies of these guitars, that have a more radical curve to the fretboard. Most electric guitars do not have this radical of a curve and should use the C1 model capo.
When the Shubb capo was first introduced about 40 years ago, guitarists throughout the world fell in love with it and they’re still in love with it today. We’ve given it a few tweaks through the years, but its basic mechanical principle remains the same: A patented over-center locking mechanism that provides an unrivaled combination of power, speed, accuracy and ease of use. One smooth flip of the lever locks it securely in place, and removes it just as quickly.
The Shubb capo is by far the best at not creating tuning problems. Its soft, resilient rubber is specially designed to work just like a fingertip, so it doesn't bend the strings over the frets. Its closing action is just like your hand, so it doesn't pull the string off center. As a result, no re-tuning is necessary!
Precisely machined and carefully hand assembled, a Shubb capo is manufactured without compromise. Simply holding one in your hand conveys a sense of quality. Snapping it solidly onto a guitar neck in about one second, and then playing without having to retune will confirm its reputation for excellence.
