Acoustic sound set free. The Takamine Natural Series was conceived to give you the biggest and widest acoustic sound possible. Solid cedar tops, solid mahogany backs, a thin satin finish and no pickguard or anything that could possibly impede the vibration of the soundboard was purposely left out. The theory works. Naturals are so alive with sound that they nearly jump out of your hands. The clean and simple approach of the Naturals has been imitated by other makers, but nothing yet has compared to the purity of style and sound of the original.
Built on the popular dreadnought platform, the Takamine ETN10C acoustic electric guitar features a cutaway design, adding comfort and range when accessing the upper-register frets. The top is solid cedar, for a smooth, balanced tone with brilliant sustain, great for jazz rhythms and intimate settings. The Takamine acoustic guitar features amazing clarity, and focused low end, with a dry, woody overall sound. The back and sides are Sapeli mahogany, adding projection and definition to the sustain. The mahogany neck is strong and durable, and the Indian rosewood bridge and fingerboard complement the dreadnought's clear tone. Other luxurious appointments include a double-bridge saddle, bone nut and saddle, natural wooden rosette, two-way truss rod, scalloped bracing, maple dot inlay, and a natural satin finish.
At the heart of this Takamine is its CT4B electronics section. The CT4B preamp is designed for ease of use and purity of tone. It consists of three bands of graphic EQ tone control, a volume control slider, and a built-in chromatic tuner. The desired tone is dialed in by using sliders to add or subtract frequency response as desired. The built-in chromatic tuner is extremely accurate, very easy to use, and capable of being calibrated to frequencies other than standard A440, so your Takamine ETN10C guitar will stay in key, whatever that key happens to be. To facilitate silent on-stage tuning, the tuner's power button acts as a mute switch when the guitar is amplified.
