The Elite T Series is designed as an alternative to the traditional Ovation Elite series. Shedding the classic multi-piece hardwood epaulet sound hold decorations, this new model incorporates a simpler, untrimmed, 11-hole pattern that enhances the low and mid range punch. The rock maple neck profile has also been slimmed down to give it a look and feel more appealing to electric players. An ultra light, yet incredibly durable, textured enamel finish is wrapped around the entire back and top.
The Ovation 1778TX features a mid-depth body with a solid spruce top, quintad bracing, and a satin finish maple neck with an ebony fingerboard. Black tuners, a tusq nut and an ebony bridge keep your intonation right on the mark and give your strings the surfaces they need to perform at their best. An Ovation Original Patented Pickup and OP-Pro preamp w/chromatic tuner make plugging in satisfying, not frustrating. Straplok strap buttons keep your baby secure.
The new Op-Pro Preamp is voiced to give you arena-sized sound with a minimum of EQ gymnastics. Every improvement comes directly from the needs of pro guitar players and sound engineers. Developed to work specifically with the unique Ovation Patented Pickup, this professional grade system has been engineered to compliment the unique character of Ovation guitars. It provides you with that essential "plugged-in" sound and offers a range of features that will enhance your performance in any venue. As the next design in the OP-Pro series, it offers the same great sound as the OP-Pro but also features a unique analog signal processor we call an "Expressor” that brings new versatility to your plugged-in performances.
