The new Ultra guitar uses subassemblies made at our offshore Ovation factory. The sub-assemblies are shipped to New Hartford CT, where our skilled craftsmen carry out the final assembly and set-up operations. The result is a professional level instrument with the feel and playability of upscale USA made Ovation guitars. The Ovation 2071 Ultra series acoustic electric combines the classic designs Ovation is known for, adding a gorgeous rosette and body appointments to offer you a classy, great-sounding guitar. The deep contour Lyrachord body is complemented by a AA grade solid Sitka spruce top to deliver a rich tone whether you plug in or not. When you do need to amplify, the Ovation high output pickup with OP-Pro preamp make sure your tone is reproduced with every bit of accuracy and clarity. The new Op-Pro Preamp is voiced to give you arena-sized sound with a minimum of EQ gymnastics. Every improvement comes directly from the needs of pro guitar players and sound engineers. Developed to work specifically with the unique Ovation Patented Pickup, this professional grade system has been engineered to compliment the unique character of Ovation guitars. It provides you with that essential "plugged-in" sound and offers a range of features that will enhance your performance in any venue. As the next design in the OP-Pro series, it offers the same great sound as the OP-Pro but also features a unique analog signal processor we call an “Expressor” that brings new versatility to your plugged-in performances. The scalloped X bracing improves tone and sustain. Other features include a bound rosewood fingerboard with custom abalone inlays and chrome tuners. It even boasts the all-new pinless Ovation bridge for even better sound energy! The pinless walnut bridge transmits more torque to the soundboard than other designs. Plus each bridge is selected or rejected according to a pre-calibrated density. -
