The smooth, hard composite Lyrachord GS body improves projection and reflects top vibrations better than traditional material and is now even stronger and lighter. The LX features a scalloped bracing pattern that evenly supports the top to provide the ultimate in acoustic output. The exotic wood leaf-shaped "epaulets" are now inlaid into the top with laser precision. Your new Ovation guitar is equipped with the OP-Pro preamp system. Developed to work specifically with the unique Ovation Patented Pickup, this professional grade system has been engineered to compliment the unique character of Ovation guitars. It provides you with that essential "plugged-in" sound and offers a range of features that will enhance your performance in any venue.
