Multiple soundholes in the upper bout allow for more efficient bracing and tone contouring. This technique has been perfected over the last two decades on guitars ten times as expensive. Now everyone can own one. Ovation's unique Quintad bracing pattern allows maximum top vibration while maintaining stability. In conjunction with the roundback body, the Celebrity Deluxe produces a robust sound with plenty of tonal cut.
With its Solid Spruce top, mid-depth cutaway body style, comfortable "U" shaped neck, gleaming gold tuners and 5-Piece Epaulet , the Ovation Celebrity Deluxe CSE44 looks as good as it plays. A bound rosewood fingerboard and a slim 'U' shaped neck make the Celebrity Deluxe one of the easiest-playing guitars in the business. The frets are hand-dressed and the action height is set to "Fast." Electronics include an Ovation High Output pickup - the OCP1K and an OP30 preamp. Rich, bright and super quiet, the OP30 raises the bar in its class. Three bands of eq plus the ability to shift the mid band to either a 450Hz or 970Hz gives you complete control over your sound. There's also a Pre-Shape circuit that not only lifts the bass and treble, but also reduces "rumble" from frequencies below 40Hz. And of course there's an on-board chromatic tuner.
