The Ovation bowl back and beautiful multi-soundhole design combine with stellar electronics for a sharp-looking mandolin with crisp tone and great projection. Ovation's Slimline pickup captures true acoustic tone and delivers a powerful signal with plenty of headroom to combat feedback in high-volume conditions. Plugged in, the special design pickup and OP24+ electronics truly make this mandolin sing. Unplugged, the Ovation Applause Mandolin is rich, throaty and has plenty of punch. The OP-24+ features three EQ bands with the ability to shift the mid band to either a 400Hz or 1KHz center frequency. It also features a Pre-Shape circuit that lifts the base and treble and reduces the "rumble" frequencies below 40Hz. The acoustic mandolin tones are combined with the pre-amp electronics to create the signature Ovation sound.
