Silk & Steel Strings
Traditional wound acoustic strings are based on a hex –shaped core wire with a single wrap of metal. It starts with a round core wire and wrap it first with a soft material. It is then wrap the modified core with the silver-plated copper (silk & steel). This process provides a subtle softness to the tone and creates a pleasant-feeling string under the finger. These strings are commonly used in folk and singer/songwriter genres.
