The new Electro-Harmonix Nano Bass Big Muff is the latest EHX bass guitar effects pedal. It delivers that huge Bass Big Muff sound in a nano-sized package. With voicing inspired by the Russian Big Muff and classic Big Muff Pi, it provides sounds ranging from a slight but satisfying grit to an over-the-top wall of bass fuzz. Controls for Volume, Tone and Sustain let you sculpt your distortion and drive, while the Dry switch mixes your dry bass with the Nano Bass Big Muff’s distortion.
The Nano Bass Big Muff draws its roots from the legendary Sovtek battle-tank green Big Muff Pi manufactured in the ‘90s as well as from the original Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi from the early ‘70s. These Big Muffs are often employed by bass players to thicken up their sound or to give them over-the-top low end growl. The Nano Bass Big Muff takes the best characteristics from both of these classics and employs sonic elements that were specifically designed for your bass.
